Christmas Traditions

When our mothers were alive, every Christmas we would get our families together at someone’s house to celebrate the holidays. After both of our mothers passed, we decided to change the tradition last year and go out instead- it was getting to be too much work having so many people at anyone’s home. And we kept our new tradition alive again this year. Of course there is no better place to go out than my former employer- the Washington House Restaurant / Sellersville Theater. I know the restaurant very well, having spent many hours in the kitchen and wine cellar getting food and setting up the pre-show buffet for the various bands that would come to perform at the theater. It was extra nice to have Becky as our server- she was one of my first bosses at the Theater when i first started volunteering 10 years ago, before she came back to work at the restaurant. It was a fun evening. I always love spending time with the family, especially my three sons- and this year it was nice to be joined by the newest Leitmeyer man, who was celebrating his very first Christmas. A memorable night. Happy holidays to all!

Love your New Blog . Didn’t know you changed your Xmas Tradition until I read it here .
I feel, as my Dad passed , the tradition of Every one going to my Sister house has now Stopped !
Mom & Dad were the Glue that kept the family together ! Dad passed , Mom in assisted living, we can’t get the family together . As of this year … just me . With no immediate family , I Love attending .( and the No Family on my part gets me sad every year now )Probably, of course I’m not known for my Cooking & Mom was a Great Cook , now my Sister is as well !
I wish I had the Joy of a Big or even Small Immediate Family to celebrate the Xmas Season !
I don’t know why it has turned out this way .
I Love seeing all the Grandkids of my Special Friends ❤️
BRW Jack . You Write so well . Like Vic . I don’t have to vocabulary as well as you & him .
And it must take you some time to put it in writing . Merry Xmas to you & your family ❤️🎄

Thanks, Steve. Glad you like it. I was getting tired of Facebook- too many ads, disagreements, false information, and just taking too much of my time getting sucked in reading, “liking”, and commenting on every post. Yes, I know what you mean- it certainly feels different without our parents around. Hope you have a great New Year- lots of concerts and Phillie wins!
